We need to assess and find out what software will be submitted. If you have different versions of a software (like a Home/Enterprise or a Standard/Business version) and you market them separately, then you should order separate submissions for every version. This is very important if you have a free but limited version that can also be submitted to all freeware download sites (who usually don't accept limited trial or evaluation versions).You can submit only one version within one submission. You may not reach all your target groups. But ordering different submissions for different versions does not guarantee that you will be listed with all of the submitted versions within the catalogs, as only the catalogs decide which software and versions they accept.

We offer the possibility to submit your specific software language. In order to do this we need to know whether
- You offer a separate setup file for each language.
- You have a multilingual setup version of your software.
Please be advised that the submission service includes one language only. Further languages will cost an extra fee. We recommend starting with English because approximately 50% of all the catalogs to which we submit target only an English speaking audience. However, to further improve your sales you can submit additional languages. They must be ordered separately with each ordered submission.

You must create a so called PAD-File (Portable Application Description) for each individual software you want to submit. This will be explained later during the submission process and also within the procedures. The PAD-File contains all of the information about your software in one file such as the software version, language and descriptions, on which platforms it runs, and so on. With this PAD-File we can send all software details automatically to all catalogs and software download sites on the Internet. You know your software best, so that's why you should write the PAD-File. We will assist you and we will correct and improve texts so that they have the best chances to be accepted. For example, if you write that your software is "the best/cheapest/most successful in the market", we will suggest changing that. Editors examining the software details can't verify terms such as those, so they may decline the submission.

Here you learn about important sites (at sites with high download rates you might want to do more advertising). You should read the comments (where available) at sites with bad ratings in order to get an idea as to why your software wasn't rated well and find ways to improve your software. High ratings can be used for advertising, but the comments may also give you more information about why users and editors have given you a strong rating.

passing along positive user ratings and downloads within the Digital
River / Element5 network.
